Time Ludo or Onex Ludo is played on a square board with a cross-shaped design, similar to Classic Ludo. Each player has four tokens of the same color.
The tokens start in their respective home areas, just like in Classic Ludo. The central triangle serves as the destination for your tokens.
In Time Ludo, there's an additional set of tokens called "time tokens." These tokens represent the passage of time and are placed in a dedicated area next to the board.
Players take turns rolling a six-sided die, just as in Classic Ludo. The player who rolls the highest number goes first. In case of a tie, both players re-roll.
After rolling the die, a player can choose one of their tokens to move forward the number of spaces indicated by the die. Tokens move clockwise around the board on their respective colored paths.
If a player's token lands on a space already occupied by their opponent's token, the opponent's token is captured and must return to the starting area. However, capturing in Time Ludo has an interesting twist: the capturing player also earns a time token.
Time tokens are collected throughout the game when capturing an opponent's token. These tokens are essential for using special time-related abilities.
Players can use their time tokens to perform a "Time Warp." A Time Warp allows a player to re-roll the dice and take another turn immediately. The player must spend one time token to activate this ability.
Tokens in Time Ludo still need to reach the center triangle to win. Like in Classic Ludo, the exact number rolled is required to enter. If a player rolls a number higher than needed, they can move their token into the center and continue toward their home area.
The first player to successfully move all four of their tokens into the center triangle is the winner. Tokens must enter the center with the exact roll needed.
Players must strategically balance capturing opponents' tokens to gain time tokens and using those time tokens wisely. Timing is crucial in Time Ludo.
It's important to play the game with fairness and abide by the rules. Captured tokens must be sent back to the starting area before re-entering the board.
